Please share this information. Florida A & M University is providing an outstanding Computer Information Sciences (CIS) scholarship program for Black women entering college in the fall of 2009. The program, created by CIS assistant professor Dr. Jason Black and Dr. Edward Jones, CIS chair, is designed to address the absence of minority females in the field of computer technology. The African-American Women in Computer Science (AAWCS) Scholarship Program is funded by a $552,000 National Science Foundation grant, and will provide financial assistance and career guidance for Black female students who meet Florida A & M’s entrance requirements. |
